Share the desktop

You can share your entire desktop by using the Share -> Desktop feature. This is useful if you want to show other attendees your start menu, taskbar or mutiple applications at once.

You can share any application on your computer (even if other participants don't have the application on their computers) by using the Share -> Application feature.

Sharing a region can be helpful if you just want to show a small area of your screen.

Share a web browser

You can share your main web browser (even if other participants don't have the web browser on their computers) by using the Share -> Web Browser feature.

 

 

 

 

 

Share a whiteboard

You can share a whiteboard with other participants in the conference by using the Share -> Whiteboard feature. You can then import existing images, add text and use annotation tools.

 

 

 

 

 

Share chat

Start a text chat with everyone or with specific individuals in a conference; handy for asking questions during a presentation, or simply having a quick and brief conversation.

 

 

 

 

 

Share files & handouts

You can share any files with other participants in the conference by using the Share -> Files & Handouts feature. Other participants can then save the shared files on their own computers should they choose to.

 

 

 

 

 

Share a media file

Share video or audio files* with other conference participants by clicking on Media File under the Share tab.

* Presenter must be able to play media file with latest version of Windows Media player, requires latest DirectX and have digital rights to the file.

 

 

 

 

 

Annotation tools

Annotations can be useful if you want to make annecdotal notes or drawings over shared material. The annotation tools can be used on both static (document, presentation) and live (region, application, desktop) shares.

 

 

 

 

 

Remote control a share

If you want someone else to interact with the shared region, application, desktop or web browser, the Host or Presenter can give someone else control of it.

 

 

 

 

 

Save a share

Saves a copy of the current shared material (document, presentation) - including any annotations - to your own computer.

 

 

 

 

 

Print a share

Prints a copy of the current shared material (document, presentation) - including any annotations to your local printer.

 

 

 

 

 

Chat with a specific person

Starts a text chat with the selected person in the user-list. Ideal when you want a private conversation, without anyone else in the conference knowing.

 

 

 

 

 

File Transfer

When you are a Host in a conference (or have the File Transfer privilege), you can request to transfer files between you and other attendees.

 

 

 

 

 

Remote control someone's PC

Remote controlling an attendee's computer is useful if you want to help them resolve a problem, or simply to guide them on how to do something on their PC.

 

 

 

 

 

Advanced sharing settings

Fine-tune the quality of document, presentation or application sharing from your computer by adjusting these settings. For most people, the standard settings will be adequate.
